Instagrammable Places in Winnipeg
Is it just me or is this like a GREAT blog post idea? I'm already excited for fellow creative instagrammers to find this. And travellers coming through Winnipeg. Your content is covered and you're welcome!
Lets be clear, this isn't an exhaustive list by anyyyy means. Just fun places I've found all over the city.
the parkade across from fourth cafe - 170 mcdermot ave
You can work alllll the angles on the rooftop, every edge faces a different array of buildings. Use caution when sitting on the edge because it goes straight down
Cafe postal- 202 provencher blvd and nearby street spots
The cafe is teeny tiny but there is a cute windowsill bar top and a couple tables outside. Mosey towards the bridge and find the flower mural, and this yellow restaurant. One side is hidden in a cute alley way and the other side perfectly exposed. There were wedding photos going on at the bridge so we didn't want to impose but definitely lots of options there!
There are 3 pastel rail cars transformed into bathrooms. The side of the set up is the wood background. Yes bathrooms can be photo ops too. Head over to the duck pond for tons of options! The photo in the bottom right was taken on the stairs leading down to the pond.
the headingly bridge
Two things to disclaimer..One, this isn't technically in Winnipeg. Two, apparently it's super illegal if you walk on train tracks like this so do so at your own risk!
thom bargen kennedy - 250 kennedy street
Definitely famous for their plant wall but the whole place is photogenic including the cute cow mural
half moon drive in - 6860 Henderson highway
Pops Chocolate shop you mean? Very very Riverdale vibes in here. Channel your inner Betty Cooper then go take a fun shot infront of the red wall on the side of the building
bridgewater & south pointe
These new neighbourhoods have tons of walkways and grass space. Search in maps "Bridgewater Lakes Playground" then stroll around
mural off princess - S/E corner of Princess & St. James; North Facing
This mural is pretty incredible. Read about it here and take respectful shots :)
If you get super close to the left side of the mural you can use it as a yellow wall background.
Around the block is this striped wall which is easy to get creative with too.
Okayyyyy! There you have it :)
Leave me a comment with which spot is now on the TOP of your shot-list for Winnipeg
There will almost definitely be a part II of this post. Cant wait!
